One thing I've observed from coaching for thousands of hours. It's not just about getting someone their dream holiday body through a better understanding of nutrition, or guiding someone to their first pull up. It's about how I witness first hand increased confidence, self esteem and broken down limitations which they’ve carried into their lives & excelled.
I always wanted a Personal Training company that coaches ordinary people to get extraordinary results. All the before and after shots are of regular people with very busy lives. Some work shifts, some travel nationally and internationally for work and with my coaching and personal training service accomplished life changing results.
After attending several seminars and education courses I have gained substantial knowledge of my profession. I’ve mentored and learned from the best coaches in the world. I also realise how intimidating exercise environments can be to some people. I can understand that feeling of “I’m not sure what I’m doing right and I’m scared of getting it wrong and feeling silly”. This may seem like an irrational fear but it’s still a very real fear. This is why my training ethos is ‘tailoring to you, not an ideal’.
Whatever you are chasing in the gym. Whether it's athletic performance, being educated on how to eat healthier to achieve improved body composition, muscle gain or strength I have proven evidence that I can achieve the optimal result for you.
You are not just getting an hour of Personal Training but long term support and education on keeping the progress consistent. Creating plans of nutrition, training and lifestyle choices you can fit into your life. Not extreme methods that have you yo-yoing back and forth from one diet to another or one exercise plan to another. I advise you, not order you to get the best results.

What happens at the first session?
The first session in my opinion is the most important session. Here is an example of a conversation I had with a new client "What do you want ultimately from Personal Training?". Client "Well isn't it obvious?". No! First I will sit down and discuss with you what you want. Then I will outline the best course of action you will need to reach your goals. I will also discuss existing injuries, nutrition, lifestyle and time constraints we will need to overcome. Also it will give you a chance to ask any questions or concerns you have about Personal Training and the Packages. I don’t rush initial consultations or limit time as I want to aid your needs with best of my ability.Second we will warm up and perform some exercises and movements so I can assess current fitness level, screen posture using Structural Balance Assessment and see where we can take you from this point onwards. Throughout I will be communicating how you are finding the exercise and if you have any discomfort or find anything too difficult or too easy. Remember I am not judging you everyone has different strengths and weaknesses and this helps me iron them out when we start training. At the end of the session I ask for your feed back and I discuss areas of training we need to prioritise.
Who uses Dave Brockway’s Personal Training service?
It’s not unusual to be approached by people who have tried every fad diet and exercise program before only to either get initial results then gain weight back shortly after or have really struggle to shift a few pounds. It’s worth setting up a free consultation to see if I can answer those questions.
I’m scared I won’t be able to keep up?
My job as a personal trainer is to scale the workouts to your ability and help you reach your goals at the quickest and safest rate. If something is causing you pain or over demanding we will scale back. Sometimes you need to step back to step forwards. It will be hard sometimes but within your personal capabilities.
How much weight can I lose in (Insert period of time)?
How quickly you lose weight is relative to you. Everyone has different responses to exercise and nutrition and rates may vary from person to person. Some people respond very well to programs yet others may take a while longer. If you follow the exercise, nutrition and lifestyle protocols that are set it will accelerate the process a lot quicker.
Isn’t personal training expensive?
When you add together what you spend on alcohol, take away foods personal training is relatively in expensive. I personally think personal training is affordable to anyone who is serious about getting into shape and getting healthy. It depends also on which package you choose and how often you need to work with me. I have a package for everyone’s needs and budget.
We love to help people achieve fat loss its our business. We are so much more than just personal training in London. There is no such thing as a stupid question. It is stupid if you don’t ask.
